Making Links - Korea

Prior to their recent visit to Nanjing and Hangzou, Centre for Ecohydrology Director, Neil Coles and Soil Conservationist, David Stanton, took time to catch up with colleague Kyunrock Paik in Korea. Dr Paik, who was previously with the UWA School of Environmental Systems Engineering and the Centre, moved to Korea University in 2008.

Dr Paik is now secretary of the KU's Disaster Prevention Laboratory, housed within their Water Resources Program. Flooding and drought are the main themes of this centre, although it also deals with earthquakes. The Program has 15 PhD students and 11 Masters students enrolled in their water resources program.
