Dr Nardia Keipert

Nardia holds a Ph.D. in topsoil management on pasture ecosystems in the Hunter Valley coal mining industry, from the University of New England, NSW.
Most recently she has worked for Alcoa World Alumina as a soils consultant on residue rehabilitation management issues. This involved identifying suitable analogue coastal ecosystems (vegetation and soils) for bauxite refinery residue waste.

She has been involved with projects including: Wheatbelt farmer’s awareness of soil health and the implications for monitoring sustainability in NSW (UNE/GRDC) and the auction for landscape recovery conducted in the NW Wheatbelt of WA (UWA/CRC).

Nardia’s previous work at the Department of Agriculture and Food involved working on a project to set dryland salinity resource condition targets by working with community (SWCC). Her current work at the Department involves working on the Coastal Catchment Initiative for the Swan-Canning and Vasse-Geographe Catchments (DEWR).
