Dr Richard George

Dr Richard George is a Principal Research Scientist (hydrology) with over twenty years experience. He is responsible for the delivery and coordination of land and water (salinity) research.


Richard

  • Has an international reputation in dryland salinity research, development and communication
  • Has published almost 170 papers and reports, comprising 38 internationally refereed papers, 51 conference papers, 42 Department and 38 related publications
  • Was awarded a Churchill Fellowship in 1995
  • Was recognised Nationally in 2000 with the W.E. Wood National Award for Excellence in Salinity Research and Development
  • Was jointly awarded the inaugural Institution of Engineers, Australia Award 2001 for engineering works at Lake Toolibin
  • Is an Adjunct Associate Professor at Murdoch University & Honorary Research Fellow UWA
  • Has initiated and overseen the development of two commonly used soil and groundwater models (Flowtube and AgET) and is on the development group for CAT3D
  • Has attracted $5m in research funding since 1990.
